Pagoda is very normal in Asia with its particular form and architectural style. In Jiangsu, there are lots of ancient pagodas, today I will show you around some pagodas in Jiangsu.

Sheli stupa

Nanjing Sheli stupa is located in Qixia mountain, Qixia district, which was built in five dynasties. And it is the biggest stupa in China. It absorbed some of the small towers in the Tang Dynasty. It has high artistic value. Qixia Temple tower stone surface covered with relief, is a five-generation sculpture boutique.

Guosi pagoda

Guosi pagoda is located in Jiangyin, Wu Xi City. It was built during Song dynasty. It has 9 levels, and was broken by the war. At the top of this pagoda, it is pointed like a nib. The tower has a long history, which presents the persevering spirit of local people.

Huqiu pagoda

Huqiu pagoda is very famous all over the world, locating in Suzhou City. It has 8 levels that is the typical magnum opus of ancient pagodas. Since Ming dynasty, Huqiu pagoda slanted to the North-west, it was called “the oriental tower in Pisa”.
