The Nanjing Travel of the president of Coomera Anglican College Doctor Mark Sly and Mrs Angelina Cheung of School International Division

On June 24, the president of Coomera Anglican College Doctor Mark Sly, Mrs Angelina Cheung of School International Division and Australia promotion of Jiangsu Tourism visited the most famous museums of Nanjing.


The first station was Nanjing Museum. The guide introduced the history from the ancient time to Qing dynasty in detail. Doctor sly said he was very interested in these history, culture, commodity of ancient people. It is totally different from the history of Australia, because Australia is a new country comparing with China.




The second sation was Da Bao’en Temple. This temple has the longest history in China. It was observed some Buddha Sarira here. The emperor Zhu Di built it for commemorating the first emperor of Ming dynasty Zhu Yuanzhang and his wife the Queen Ma. 



Finished the Da Bao’en Temple, we went to Ganxi Mansion. It is the biggest private house in China, it’s called “Ninety nine and a half”, because in ancient China, the amount of private house mustn’t over one hundred. Now there are some intangible cultural heritage: Chinese paper cutting, Caizha... Doctor Sly was very interested and was going to open some exchange activities for his students.






The last sation is Imperial Examination Museum Of China. Doctor Sly through this museum knew the history and lifestyle of Chinese ancient examination, the number scholar is called Zhuang Yuan, the second is called Bang Yan, and the third is called Tan Hua.



Doctor Sly and Angelina Cheung were satisfied with this travel, it’s very educational and interesting. They would like to bring their students to Jiangsu too. We also look forward to their next visiting!
